Starr Hill Brewery
Starr Hill Brewery was founded in 1999 in the town of Charlottesville, Virginia, by Mark Thompson and Kristin Dolan. The brewery takes its name from the neighborhood where it was originally located. Starr Hill's beers can be found throughout the mid-Atlantic and southeast United States. In 2007, Starr Hill signed a distribution deal with Anheuser Busch〔Anheuser Busch, (Starr Hill Enters Distribution Agreement with Anheuser-Busch ), "Anheuser-Busch", 18 December 2007〕 but was released from this agreement in 2011.
Along with South Street Brewery, Blue Mountain Brewery, Wild Wolf Brewing Company and Devils Backbone Brewing Company, Starr Hill forms the Brew Ridge Trail.〔http://brewridgetrail.com/destinations/〕
